June curlBOX & Product Review

Lottabody Product Review

You guys know I get a curlBOX every month and every month curlBOX hosts a chat to talk about the items in the box for that month. I always participate. Most times the brands participate and it's a good opportunity to connect with the brands and other naturalistas about that months products.

Cantu, Softee, Bee Mine, Lottabody, and Orgnaix products found in the June curlBOX.The June curlbOX was full of goodies. It included:
  • Cantu Sulfate-free Cleansing Cream
  • Cantu Sulfate-free Hydrating Cream Conditioner
  • Softee Extenshine Morrocan Argan Oil Perfecting Serum
  • Bee Mine Luscious Balanced Cream Moisturizer
  • Lottabody Control Me Edge Gel
  • Organix Kukui Shampoo and Conditioner

During the June curlBOX chat Lottabody (@LoveLottabody) decided to give away their complete line of styling products. They've recently revamped the line and I was very curious to see what they had to offer, so I decided to try to win and I did!

Mousterizer, Gelee, Setting Lotion, Edge Gel, and Foaming Mousse from Lottabody's new product line.
The new and complete line of Lottabody!
Lottabody sent me their: Style Me Texturizing Setting Lotion, Shape Me Custard Gelee, Moisturize Me Curl & Style Milk, Control Me Edge Gel, and Wrap Me Foaming Mousse! I'd given their edge control a try prior to them sending me the complete line and I really liked it. I wash my face every day, so my edges immediately begin to curl up when I have my hair straightened. I'm sure other naturalistas out there who get their hair straightened can relate! When they sent their line, I was compelled to try my old go to...the high pony tail! Along with the edge control I thought the moisturizer would help me achieve the best high pony look. With success I was able to achieve my first high pony tail since being natural! Can we say ecstatic?!

I made my first high ponytail using Lottabody's moisturizer and edge gel.
Don't let this pic fool head isn't that big! :-)
I had to share with my blog peeps about this moisturizer. I don't normally use a moisturizer when my hair is straight because I thought it would weigh it down too much. That wasn't the case with this one. It's now been about two weeks and it's time to go back to the salon. The edge gel is building up on my edges, but what else would you expect from constant use on a concentrated area?! I definitely wouldn't say this is a negative but rather something to be expected.

These are the first two products I've tried from this line and I love it so far. The smell is out of this world and I would recommend these two products from what I've experienced so far...for natural hair and relaxed hair alike!

Have you tried Lottabody (new or old)?! Tell me what you think!

  1. Congrats! You've got the winning streak. :-) I haven't tried their products from their natural line. Seems like back in my permed days, I used to use some setting lotion or something like that. I plan to do a video on the Cantu products in the curlbox. I absolutely loved the shampoo and conditioner and I was hesitant...because I usually am of new products.

  2. Cool win! I haven't used lottabody since being natural but I liked the product when I would use them and I'm glad to see that they have new products with naturals in mind.

What are you thoughts?!
