Looking for a Cosmetologist?

Here's The Deal!

Everyone knows the trouble I've had with my hair this past year. It's no secret. Throughout my hair tab you can see where it first went wrong, you can see me trying to hold it together and trying to fix it, then you see the second atrocity. SMH! The word crazy doesn't even begin to describe my hair misfortunes this year.

I wanted to do this post earlier in the year, but I ended up getting a sew-in which distracted me and I let it go. I also kind of felt like no one would bite, but I may as well reach out now because you never know what will happen.

I talk so much about my cosmetologist in NC and how much I miss her and the work she did with my hair. Her name is Rasheta (rasheta_b on IG) and she works at Practicality Hair and Day Spa in Greenville, NC. (Visit either of those pages to see her work!!) She's not just somebody who does hair, she IS hair!! She grew up in Practicality and has been around hair all her life. Not only that but she went to school and is a certified cosmetologist. She can tell you anything you'd like to know about your hair PLUS more! Everyone I've referred to her loves her, loves the work she does, and loves the shop!!

She wants to come to DC for me BUT not just for me...lol...and I totally understand that. In order for her and her team to get the most out of traveling, she needs to have at least 15 clients in the area.

SO, here's my plea!!!

I've been in DC for 16 months. I've talked to a lot of ladies about natural hair salons in the area and I know the pickings are slim. Most ladies I've run into do their hair themselves or they go to a salon only because they have no other choice, not because they truly enjoy their experience there. There are salons where you can get your natural hair done, but they don't use heat. There are salons where you can get your natural hair done only if it's straightened. There are natural hair salons that work mostly with locked hair. I could go on and on about the stipulations I've run into. It's completely exhausting!

Practicality is a one stop shop for all kinds of hair, natural AND relaxed. They're able to do whatever you're looking for and keep your hair healthy along the way. Before I left I was getting my hair done every single two weeks, like clockwork!! I can't speak enough good words about Rasheta or Practicality.

So, DMV ladies out there; natural, relaxed, and everything in between...are you looking for an AWESOME cosmetologist?! Are you looking for someone who can truly care for your hair in such a way that it has no other choice but to be healthy? Are you looking for a professional who actually knows what she's doing and why she's doing it?!

Then please, Please, PUHLEASE let me know!! I really want to get about 15 ladies, or more, together by February so we can get Rasheta and her team up here!!
