Honoring Dr. King

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2015

There's one day every year where we honor a great man. (If you haven't seen Selma, GO!)
He was not perfect, no one is. We all have our flaws but working towards a better mankind should be all of our goals.

In the words of another great

"I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all
persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities."
--Nelson Mandela

Is that so much to ask? Is that so hard to accomplish? Is it so wrong for everyone to have the same opportunities? I don't think it is. So, to live a life working towards a better future for not only my children but for us all is something I can try my best to do. 

In remembrance of Dr. King, let's all try to have an impact on the world this year.

MLK Day

Today we observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday (January 15)! 

Dr. King showed us the power of one in changing the way people think.
He was a great man who lead the Civil Rights Movement and moved a nation.

From his great speech "I Have A Dream" to the many marches for equal rights, this man deserves his spot in history!

Happy Belated Birthday Dr. King and Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. day!
