The Craziest Thing I Heard This Week!!

*Disclaimer - This post is out of the ordinary for me, but I had to get this off my chest!*

My sister came to visit Thursday and we had an awesome time together. I love that girl so much more than I think she realizes!! But, anyhow, we decided to have a good night of good TV.

We watched Scandal, which was an amazing episode. I'm sure I've talked about how Huck is my favorite character on the show and last night, the show was mostly about him. We sat through the whole episode wondering what 752 meant, only to have Suddenlink (the only cable provider in the area - they suck by the way) cut the end of the episode short. *Insert Super Mad Face*

So, after having to search for what this meant, we finally got it. I must say I was going to have to disown Scandal if they had harmed Huck's family. This show is still amazing and I will still be tuned in.

After Scandal went off, we watched a little Dance Moms then tuned into Teen Nick for some Rugrats. I love Rugrats!! Not Rugrats grown up...but the REAL Rugrats when they're still babies. It's a part of a group of 90s Nickelodeon shows that I think should have rolled over into the 2000s and 10s. That's when TV was good!!

So, we're watching the cartoon and my sister asks me if I've heard the Rugrats myth. I'm looking super confused, because I've heard of such a thing. So she begins to tell me that there's a myth out there that says that the Rugrats weren't real, but figments of Angelica's imagination.

I proceeded to tell my sister that this was probably something her generation made up (she's 5 years younger than So she Googles it, to get the specifics, and she finds this information. I'm not going to go into details, because I think it's a bit too much...but all I could say is...

SUPER WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Who comes up with this nonsense?! How ridiculous is this stuff?! My feelings were hurt? Why must society turn innocent cartoons into "hidden messages put there by the adults who made it"? Must we turn everything into something over the top?? When I hear things like this, it makes me feel like there's small hope for the future world. Maybe I'm being naive, but I choose to ignore things like this. They're cartoons...and I refuse to read any more into than that!! And, I'm happy with that :-)

Life in a Break Down

  1. This is crazy, it gives you a complex about everything as if everyone knows something and you don't or there's something sinister afoot.. I fell you, I will take my cartoons at face value.... I wont even go into what my husband found about Scooby-Doo and the reasons for Shaggys of the drawbacks to the information age!

    1. Yes, it truly does. If you look that deeply into cartoons, what else is there. I take everything at face value. Life is difficult enough as it is! Enjoy what you can! Thanks for visiting my page
