Parmesan Garlic Chicken

Good Seasons Easy Parmesan Garlic Chicken

I don't know what it is about me and chicken, but I just can't seem to stay away from it. We used to eat chicken all the time when I was younger, so now I'm not really a fan of it. I get a hankering for fried chicken or chicken wings every now and then. My family ate chicken so much when I was younger, I'd be fine if I never ate chicken again ate chicken less frequently than I do!

I got this recipe off of the Italian dressing packet I used for my last recipe post. I had some chicken thighs left over and I had all of the ingredients in my pantry, so I figured why not give it a try?!

A chicken recipe including parmesan, garlic, and spaghetti with marinara sauce.

Ingredients
5 chicken thighs
(or small chicken breasts)
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 packet of Italian dressing mix
salt and pepper to taste

Preparing the chicken thighs with the Parmesan garlic mixtureDirections
1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
2. Mix the cheese, garlic powder, and dressing mix in a bowl and pour into a large Ziploc bag.
3. Clean and rinse the chicken off, leaving the chicken a little moist.
4. Coat the chicken with the cheese mixture. (I dropped the chicken into the Ziploc bag and shook it.)
5. Place the chicken on a baking sheet.
6. Coat the chicken with the remainder of the cheese mixture.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
8. After the chicken is done, broil for a minute or two to give the chicken a golden brown color.

And there you have it!! Another easy recipe that's a lot quicker than the last recipe I shared! When I tell you this chicken was better than expected, I mean it! I didn't particularly like reheating this meal because the cheese melted as it was reheated. I don't like melted cheese. I prefer my cheese grated or shredded. If you like melted cheese, then you'll really enjoy the leftovers (if you have any)!!

I usually cook chicken during the week to break up all the beef and fish I cook. I invest so much time into trying to spice the chicken up because I don't like eating it otherwise. I need to try recipes for beef (which I eat the most) or pork (which I eat the least). I also need to get more used to using that crockpot, but that's another topic for another time!

Try this recipe too and let me know what you think about it!

  1. Girl you are speaking to my hungry spirit animal right now! My boyfriends always orders a dish like this when we go out, so I am going to make it tonight. I made your "one pan chicken" recipe yesterday with asparugus instead of broccoli and everything turned out well except my potatoes were undercooked. I fixed that easily though by throwing then on the stove top and we loved it! Thanks girl!
