I Got A Story To Tell

My Sew-In Story

The intro/warning to and for first time do-it-yourself natural hair sew-in care.If you guys follow me on Twitter (@allnaturalmi) then you know I've recently taken my sew-in out.
If you follow me on Instagram (@allnaturalmi) I'm sure you know I would've posted pictures by now

...and the plot thickens!

I'll preface this by saying nothing too detrimental happened, but I definitely have a story to tell.
I want to tell my story, but I want to do it my way. I want to tell what happened in a little mini-series which is how "My Sew-In Story" was born.
I'm going to tackle this thing in detail...one post at a time. I know I'm wordy, so I'm not even going to try and put it all in one post. Plus, there are important areas I want to highlight, especially for people out there like me who aren't exactly do-it-yourself hair gurus, but try to manage their manes at home anyway!
I'm going to explain what I did to prepare for taking out my sew-in, what happened when I did, how I prepped for washing my hair, what happened when I did, the aftermath, and how I plan to move forward in the future.

So stay tuned as I prepare my words for these posts!! I want to share my story because I'm sure it'll help someone in the long run and it'll continue to help me document what's happening on my hair journey!

  4. I hope it's a good story. I lost a piece of my edges on those last cornrows. Trying not to think about it. Needless to say, I'm wearing my own hair out in two strand twists. :-)

  5. It certainly looks good! I know how hard any braid styles can be on my edges so I'm looking forward to your experience.
